ABOUT THIS TRACK
'Catharsis' is a piano and vocal-driven roller I produced early in 2014. It's about those instances in your past where you've made stupid mistakes which have lead to your own misfortune, and how such instances can be seen as an opportunity for a fresh start, with newfound knowledge. One example of such an instance in my past was a time back in 2012 when I foolishly left a rucksack containing my Macbook, backup drives, bank cards, house keys, and a brand new pair of headphones and audio interface belonging to a friend in the back of my van overnight - I returned the next morning to find my locks smashed and van empty. Everything gone. It was devastating to find out, but very quickly I began to see just how much support from my friends and loved ones I really had, and realised how much they believed in me. Thanks to them, I was back on my feet in no time, and able to continue pushing forward with my productions and DJ sets. Catharsis can sometimes be a wonderful thing.
